Andrew Carvajal
Andrew is a Toronto lawyer licensed to practice in the province of Ontario. He holds a joint degree in common law and civil law from McGill University.
After practising at one of Toronto's most prominent litigation firms, Andrew opened his own practice. His goal is to provide his clients with superior advocacy that is accessible to them and caters to their specific legal needs.
Andrew's legal practice includes immigration and refugee law, administrative law, the representation of professionals in disciplinary matters and small claims litigation. Prior to opening his own firm, Andrew largely practised in various areas of civil litigation including medical malpractice, regulatory matters involving physicians, insurance defence, commercial disputes, sexual assault claims and matters before various administrative tribunals.
Prior to practising law, Andrew was a sociology professor at McGill University. It was there where he obtained his Bachelor in Sociology and Political Science and a Master's degree in Sociology and Social Statistics. Andrew was also a university researcher involved in projects dealing with criminal justice, equality laws, family transformation and social research methods.
As a native Colombian, Andrew is fully fluent in Spanish. He also has working proficiency in French.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys running, sailing, travel, art, squash, tennis and wine tasting.
